
How to make Masala Chai
There are many different variations on masala chai, not just from country to country or region to region, but household to household. Recipes for this spicy tea get passed down through generations. Our take on masala chai is a nod to all the time we spent in India. Ihis sweet, flavoursome, tea feels decadent…and it is!
Ingredients:
* 2 tbs of great quality black tea (Two Spoons' Bucks Blend!)
* 1 litre of boiling water
* 14 cardamom pods
* An inch and a half of fresh ginger - grated
* 1 tsp of black peppercorns
* 4 cloves
* A cinnamon stick
* 50g of sugar
* 500mls of milk
1. Get the kettle on (remember, only boil what you need).
2. Put all the spices and Bucks Blend in a saucepan.
3. Add the boiling water and bring back to the boil.
4. Simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Add the milk and sugar.
6. Cook for another 10 minutes with the occasional stir.
7. Strain off the tea and spices
