Malty, rich, and full-bodied. If you like your tea to have presence, Assam is hard to beat.
This is a second flush Assam, picked when the leaves are at their best. Strong, rounded, and confident in the cup. It is the backbone of a proper English Breakfast blend. Expect deep malt, biscuity notes and a long finish.
Assam is one of Big Spoon’s favourites. “I love visiting Assam, especially in June and July, when the best quality is being produced.”
Granny Spoon loves it too. Assam tea is the key ingredient in an Irish Breakfast Blend.
This is a tea that likes food. Pair it with a bacon sandwich or a crumpet and you will see why it has earned its reputation.
Packed in a plastic-free, commercially compostable zip-lock pouch.
100g of loose leaf tea. Around 30 cups.
How to infuse.
-
Use 1 level teaspoon per cup. Add a little more if you like it strong.
